Ferrari F430 coupe is a sport scar produced by the Scuderia Ferrari to replace the old model. The car was launched in 2004 at the Paris to be the successor of another legend car produced by Italian Scuderia: Ferrari 360. This version of F430 was produced from 2004 until 2009, when it was replaced by the Ferrari 458 Italia.
The engine of F430 coupe is a V8 with 4.300 cubic centimeters used by another supercars Italian constructor: Maserati. This powerful engine is a major changes for Ferrari which uses on the previous models, launched until 2004, a V8 engine with roots in the past, in the program opened by Ferrari in 1950 and called Dino. This revolutionary engine replace the old based heart of Ferrari’s cars with a new one. The specifications of F430 engine are very good: is capable to generate a maximum power of 492 horse power, the equivalent of 361 kilowatts at 8500 rpm. Other characteristic of engine is good couple, with and 465 N·m of torque at 5200 rpm.
The engine of F430 offers a good top speed by 312 km/hour, the American equivalent of 195 miles per hour.
The body of a car is well designed, very aerodynamic, with very much gorgeous curves. The aerodynamic coefficient is very good because Ferrari F430 was very much tested in the wind tunnel from Italy.
For the brakes of F430, Ferrari collaborate with a well known brake producer: Brembo. For F430 the company decides to use a innovative material with a high percent of molybdenum. This kind of metal is a very good heat conductor and is able to eliminate the excessive heat from the moment of brake. Another solution was using of special ceramic brakes, with good results just for high speeds. At very low speed, these composite discs have not enough strength to offer a short distance for brake of Ferrari F430.
The transmission of F430 is realized in two modes. A gearbox is a six gear manual transmission, the other is a six gear transmission with electrohydraulic activation. Other interesting feature of Ferrari F430 is the differential, with computer control. It was called E-Dip and is able to offer different slip action to the wheels.
The price of a new Ferrari F430 coupe was different, by location and by dealer. For example, in USA, a new F430 it costs from $168,000 to $226,000. In Europe, the price of F430 is different, a new car it costs about 174,000 Euros, and depends by Ferrari dealer.
