Lamborghini decides to make many changes to the 2003 version of Gallardo  after positive press reviews and launches a new version of this model in 2006. In January, the same year, at the Los Angeles Motor Show the Italian company reveals the new version of Gallardo.

The model is called Gallardo Spyder and is amajor improvement of the oldest Coupe from 2003. The car was totally changed with a new exhaust system and a powerful new V10 engine. With this engine the Spyder is more stable and stronger on the road and in races. The engine is a V10 with 520 horse power and high torque values. These specifications are impressive comparing with the old Coupe.

The suspension was totally redesigned and replaced. These parts of 2006 version of Gallardo Spyder make possible a top speed of 315 km per hour, the equivalent of 195 miles per hour. The changed exhaust system make the car to be more sportive with an aggressive allure on the road.

Aerodinamycally, this version was a little bit changed, with some piece replacement and changed of materials of construction. The aluminum was replaced in part by carbon fibers and this thing is visible in the weight of the car and the generally performance.

In 2008 Lamborghini decides to make other changes to the Spyder version and changes the engine with a more powerful V10. The result is a super muscle Gallardo Coupe called LP 560-4. This new model was launched at  Geneva Auto Show in 2008.  The engine makes a difference of about 40 hp comparing with the Spyder from 2006. The engine is almost similar with a Audi RS6 engine. It has 5.2 liters and is capable to generate a maximum of 560 hp at 8000 rpm. The torque of the engine is impressive too with 510 N·m @4250 rpm.

LP560-4 it has about 40 kilos in minus comparing with old version and about 40 horse power at plus. The gearbox was replaced another time, with two versions available,  a six speed manually gearbox called E-gear and an automatically 6 speed gearbox electronically powered.

In the same year Lamborghini launches another version of the Gallardo, a Spyder LP560-4 with the speed electronically limited to about 200 miles per hour. The price for this supercar is impressive too: a new Gallardo LP 560-4 costs about $197,000 in the base configuration.  Anyway, a fully charged Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, with ceramic brakes satelite navigation and e-gear system it cost about $220.000 in 2009.
