Murcielago is a supercar introduced by the Italian automaker Lamborghini, in 2001. The car is the successor of another cult machine launched by the Italian constructor: Lamborghini Diablo.
Murcielago is a impressive car powered by a performance Lamborghini V12 engine. The concept of a car is revolutionary and the materials used for the fabrication are very advanced too. Lamborghini launches another version of the car at the Geneva, at the Motorshow from 2006. The new model was called Lamborghini LP640, by the new engine which was added to replace old LP580. The power was much improved at this generation and the car is capable to make very good sprint reprises. The new engine it has 640 horse power the equivalent of 470 kilowatts. This high power of the engine is generated at 7800 rotations per minute.
In 2006 was launched a new version of LP640 called Lamborghini LP 640 Versace at the Paris Motorshow. This version is white, with black wheels and Versace logo on it. This exclusive version was produced in five exemplers.
In 2009 Lamborghini introduces the third generation of Murcielago, called LP640 Roadster. This version it has a new engine with about 650 horse power. The LP640-4 is capable to sprint from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.4 seconds. The car is impressive and the top speed of the car is about 330 km/hour.
Latest version of Murcielago was launched in 2009 and is called LP670-4 SuperVeloce. Is the most advanced version of the car with an impressive V12 engine, capable to produce 670 horse power at 8000 rpm and a very good torque at this power. LP670-4 SuperVeloce is projected to have a limited series of about 340 cars at the selling price of $450.000.
The used Murcielago are difficult to find and the price is usually high. If you decide to buy a Murcielago you must know that the insurance for this impressive car is high too.
